It's still a bit primitive looking, but I was able to find a widget, modify it, specify what tag to pull from Flickr, and then load it into this blog entry in about 20 minutes.

I think the applications for this sort of widget authoring platform is promising. Zembly also lets you author apps/widgets for Facebook, Meebo, Twitter, etc. Check it out.
We did some promo shots that she can use to promote her latest release entitled "Didn't It Feel Kinder" on Daemon Records. It's a solid record. My favorite tracks are SLC Radio and Stand and Deliver. You should consider picking up a copy.

It was an interesting project, especially considering the size and color complexity of his work.

We organized a shoot at his studio, where he would hang a large painting, I would light and shoot it, and then move on to the next. All in all it was enjoyable to work with an artist and to see his work move to a site where others can appreciate it too.
They were up from Orlando, FL. performing at The Wild Mustang in Atlanta. The goal was to shoot backstage in a documentary / reportage style. I've posted a few shots in my galleries, but there are just so many interesting shots, I've decided to create a gallery dedicated just to this two evening shoot! Enjoy!!

So I picked up the Canon G9 as my little pocket photo companion. For fun, and out of curiousity, I wanted to do a completely unscientific test of the G9 compared to the 5D. I put my remote 580EX on a stand and alternated shooting between the G9 and the 5D using the Speedlight Transmitter from roughly the same spot.

The result are above. To see a higher resolution version of the photo, click here.

For web based imagery, the G9 seems to be a great solution for shooting in situations or environments where I just don't want to risk taking the 5D. At roughly $450 - $500 (you can find some sale pricing online), this is well worth the money. It also takes reasonably good video, which I'm pleased with.

Of course, it's not a 5D and never will be, but still a TON of fun.

</rss:item><rss:item rdf:about="http://www.ataricharm.com/news/2008/5/23/welcome-to-ataricharmcom.html"><rss:title>Welcome to Ataricharm.com!</rss:title><rss:link>http://www.ataricharm.com/news/2008/5/23/welcome-to-ataricharmcom.html</rss:link>

<dc:subject></dc:subject>

I hope you like the new web site structure! I'm particularly pleased with the ability to post blog entries within my site about photography related topics. I may post about recent shoots (and include shots you wouldn't see in my portfolio), review photography gear I'm using, post travelog information about trips, etc.

I hope you check back periodically and feel free to leave comments! If you use RSS, click on the orange icon in your browser bar to add me to your RSS feed!

Cheers,

Matt

</rss:item></rdf:RDF>
