| A special event is just that – an event that strives to be special to those who attend. Special events may include engagement parties, weddings, concerts, festivals, bar mitzvahs, plays, etc. The Ataricharm approach to special events can be described as reportage-style photography. Reportage-style photography is an eye witness approach to the event, capturing the event as the event unfolds. We focus less on staging photos (i.e. traditional group shots) and focus more on capturing the natural dynamic of people interacting at the event. Our preparations minimize lost opportunities to capture an event’s pivotal moments. For example, having two or three photographers shooting at different event locations may make more sense than a single photographer providing coverage across the whole event.
